Houston, TX – April 25, 2024 – TRV Foundation is proud to announce the launch of its inaugural fashion extravaganza, "A Walk in the Jungle," set to captivate audiences on Sunday, May 26, 2024, starting at 5:00 PM at The Fountain of Life Center, 14083 S. Main St., Houston, Texas. Tickets are $35 for general admission and $100 for VIP.
Tickets can be purchased online here. Attendees will have the opportunity to further engage with the fashion community through a pop-up shop, offering the chance to support featured vendors and designers during and after the show.
This groundbreaking event, conceptualized by music artist Jekale Williams, promises to redefine the fashion landscape of Houston, blending artistic expression, diverse fashion styles, and electrifying musical performances. "A Walk in the Jungle" will showcase over 20 models, celebrating diversity in shape, color, and size, while featuring the innovative designs of six cutting-edge designers. Complementing the fashion spectacle, the event will also host more than 10 vendors offering products that elevate style and fashion.
In a nod to the event's fusion of fashion and music, "A Walk in the Jungle" will feature live performances by Jekale Williams himself, delivering his signature sound. Additionally, attendees will groove to the infectious rhythms of Afrobeats, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience. Headlining the musical lineup is Jershika Maple, top 5 contestant from season 21 of The Voice, whose soulful vocals promise to elevate the event to new heights.
Veshell Greene, TRV Foundation's board president, emphasized the organization's dedication to supporting artists and creatives. "We envisioned 'A Walk in the Jungle' as a unique and inclusive platform to uplift artists and showcase their talent. Our mission is to provide support to those who need it most," Greene stated.
Inspired by his extensive experience in the world of fashion shows, Jekale Williams aims to introduce a fresh perspective to Houston's fashion scene. "Fashion is a lane that has always intrigued me as an artist. Bringing something truly different to the city of Houston is incredibly humbling," remarked Williams.
